Restoring the Mental/Mind Part of our Soul


God created this mind of ours to analyze and understand and figure out the life around us, to make choices.  He gave us logic and a will.  He also created this mind inside of us that creates things, whether it is art, a skyscraper or a garden or a song.  We have thoughts and ideas, because we are created in the image of God...

Thoughts

​Our thoughts create healing for our souls.
Our mind is an amazing thing.  And our thought life directs everything.  Every part of who we are is directly influenced by the thoughts we think.

When we think negatively our bodies and emotions respond in kind.  But the good news is, when we think positively, our body and minds also respond in kind.  

The old adage is true, we are what we think, we are what our thoughts dwell on.  We are what we allow into our mind.

You have power over your thoughts to shift them from being negative to positive.  Scripture tells us to take every thought captive and apply it to the truth of Christ and to make it obedient.

Intellect


Intelligence is how you process, reason and understand the information around you.  Unfortunately, when we hear intelligence, we automatically think of IQ.  But intelligence is so much more than IQ.  Intelligence is understanding truths and reason and relationships, it is not merely how you score on a standardized test.  As Einstein has said, "Everybody is a genius. But, if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid".  Everyone possesses a high level of intelligence in some area.  Discover what yours is and then live in that sweet spot of who you were created to be.

Creativity

We are made in the image of a great Creator. Therefore, it would only make sense that we are creators as well.  The problem is we see creativity in limited forms.  The painter, the sculptor, the musician, all of these people we would consider creative.  But creativity goes beyond those things.  There are some who are creating gardens, or homes, or dance choreography.  There are some who are creative with their words.  We were all born with a soul that yearns to create.
